Northpine Foundation has invested in Codex Tech Foundation to help youth in Toronto and the GTA move into technology and advanced manufacturing careers. The program responds to a gap in practical, employer-relevant STEM training for young people from underserved communities, who often lack access to hands-on learning that builds both confidence and real technical skills.

Codex Tech’s one-year model takes participants through electronics, PCB design, SolidWorks mechanical design, Python coding, and robotics, culminating in a capstone project and portfolio that can support employment or further study. The venture will focus on creating paid placements, internships, apprenticeships, or sustained employment in STEM-linked roles.

Northpine’s investment builds on Codex Tech’s experience delivering applied, project-based training that helps youth see a real future for themselves in technical fields. The program includes mentorship, interview preparation, ongoing support and income and retention tracking to strengthen long-term outcomes.
