Supporting Refugee Employment in Ottawa and Eastern Ontario

ottawa mission

The initiative builds on the Mission’s Food Services Training and Maintenance Services Training programs, combining technical instruction, certifications, work placements, language support, case management, and direct employer connections.

Northpine Foundation has invested in The Ottawa Mission to help refugees in Ottawa and Eastern Ontario move into stable employment in food services and building maintenance.

The initiative builds on the Mission’s Food Services Training and Maintenance Services Training programs, combining technical instruction, certifications, work placements, language support, case management, and direct employer connections. Participants will gain practical Canadian experience and support preparing for employment in kitchens, restaurants, hotels, property management, and building maintenance.

This investment will help refugees secure gainful employment while strengthening tracking of wages, retention, and career progression.
