Northpine invests to strengthen parent engagement in education

Northpine Foundation has invested in Parents Engaged in Education’s Parent Academy to help parents build the confidence, tools, and school connections they need to support learning at home and advocate effectively for their children.

The program will strengthen parent engagement in Scarborough’s Kingston-Galloway-Orton Park corridor and surrounding neighbourhoods, reaching parents through weekly lunch-and-learn sessions, a virtual evening sessions, and hands-on family learning activities.

Topics include school communication, literacy, numeracy, technology, and the Ontario school system, with incentives designed to support attendance and completion.

By positioning parents as partners in improving attendance, school connection, and long-term student success, this investment helps strengthen Northpine’s integrated cradle-to-career strategy for families in Scarborough.
