Northpine Invests in IMPACT ‘n Communities to Support East Scarborough Youth

Impact n communities

This initiative aims to improve school engagement, conflict navigation, and early work experience.

Northpine Foundation has invested in IMPACT ‘n Communities’ Violence Intervention Ambassador program to help East Scarborough youth navigate the Grade 8-to-9 transition successfully. The school-anchored model responds to barriers like weak attendance, unmet basic needs, limited trusted adults, and poor pathways to work

The program will combine mentorship, counselling, attendance support, and employment readiness, running through Eastview School, West Hill Collegiate, and Laurier Collegiate, with a feeder program for Grade 8 students and continued support in high school.

It aims to improve school engagement, conflict navigation, and early work experience while building on the organization’s long track record in youth programming.
