Advancing Outcomes-Based Contracts for Refugee Employment

mount royal university

Mount Royal University’s Institute for Community Prosperity will train other organizations to develop outcomes-based contracts and procurement agreements to help refugees move off income support and into lasting employment.

Building on the Mount Royal University’s Institute for Community Prosperity partnership with the Government of Alberta, the Institute will train other organizations to develop outcomes-based contracts with governments, support government relations, and help develop procurement agreements to help refugees move off income support and into lasting employment across Canada.

The Institute’s earlier initiative, StartWork has already demonstrated how this model can connect refugee-serving organizations, employers, and government around a shared outcome.

Northpine’s investment aims to help establish additional government contracts, with a broader goal to create a more sustainable funding model for refugee employment services that can be adapted across Canada.
